The Centre for Local Governance Advocacy is an independent, non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit advocacy and research institution. The institution aims at promoting good local governance, through evidence based research and capacity building for actors.

Publications & Report

CLGA has been shaping Public Policy on local governance and decentralisation through several publications and articles expressing a professional opinion on Local Governance issues and offering advice based on its research findings to government and other national-level institutions.

Our Projects

The CLGA have partnered with several institutions locally and internationally to implement projects in the areas of; 1. Local Economic Development, Social Accountability, Circular Economy, Public Financial management, etc

Public Financial Management Compliance League table (PFMCLT)

The CLGA has collaborated with the Internal Audit Agency to launch the first-ever Public Financial Management Compliance League Table (PFMCLT) as part of its efforts to promote public financial management compliance by MMDAs.
The PFMCLT League Table assessed, rated, ranked and published the PFM compliance level of MMDAs.
